Like every year, the Qatar Charity Bangladesh office has distributed food items to 9,000 poor families during Ramadan. Besides, food aid has been provided to 2,000 helpless families in the case of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Sohel alam, Project Director of Qatar Charity Bangladesh Office, said 4,000 Iftar packets have been distributed among the families of orphan students studying at Qatar Charity’s Social Welfare Centers in different parts of the country. The remaining 5,000 Iftar packets have been distributed among helpless poor families maintaining due diligence.
Each Iftar packet weighing 36 kg contains 20 kg of rice, 5 liters of cooking oil, 2 kg of sugar, 2 kg of pulses, 2 kg of onion, 2 kg of grum, 2 kg of dates, and 1 kg of salt. Each packet costs about 175 Qatari Riyals.
