Today is the birthday of National Film Award winner actress Purnima. But she has no special plan to celebrate the day. According to Purnima, her birthday will be celebrated under homely arrangement only. Though on Saturday there was schedule for shooting of Raihan Khan’s play Jokhon Somoy Thomkey Darai but it couldn’t happen later.
Nobel and Mosharraf Karim are acting against Purnima in the play.
In Eid-ul-Fitr, Purnima was seen to act in several numbers of works. She has now scripts of some works for next Eid.
But she could not give her schedule till now. Though she is working in small screen Purnima is now totally absent from big screen.
Purnima said, “Often I get offer to work in movies but cannot agree to work due disliking its stories. So viewers do not see me in movie right now. I am a performer of big screen. I always want to work in movies. Due to mismatch of bat and ball I could not work.”
On May 5, Purnima won in the election of Bangladesh Film Actors’ Association in the post of its EC Member. She got the National Film Award for first time for acting in Kazi Hayat’s movie Ora Amake Bhalo Hotey Dilona. She first acted against Riaz in 1998 in Jakir Hossain Razu’s movie E Jibon Tomar Aamar. She completed 20 years of her acting career in May.
Moner Majhey Tumi, Hridoyer Kotha, Akash Chhoya Bhalobasha, Shova, Sasti etc are Purnima acted mentionable movies.
Zahid Hasan directed serial Lal Nil Beguni is her one of the mentionable works in small screen. She lastly performed as a model in a TVC of hena under Mizanur Rahman Ariyan’s direction.
