Agitated students forming human chain and holding agitation rally on Monday demanded punishment of the liable for result disaster enforcing SSC examinee to commit suicide.
The programme was organised by the schoolmates of Sarbojit Ghosh Ridoy of Udayon School in front Ashwini Kumar Hall of the city.
Addressing the programme the speakers said it was very unfortunate that 1492 examinees including Sarbojit declared as failed in SSC on May 11 as they failed in Hindu Religious Study subject. This result agony made Sarbojit frustrated as he got A+ in other subjects and jumping from roof top of a under construction building he committed suicide, they said.
However after the incident became viral in internet demanding investigation getting support from deputy commissioner , Barisal Education Board authourity became bound to investigate the matter. Thus after re-scrutiny 1141 examinees of earlier declared as failed, declared as passed including Sarbojit in Hindu Religious Study subject and result of 94 examinees also upgraded to GPA-5.
