The government has declared public holiday in three cities on Tuesday for peaceful conduct of elections in Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong city corporations.
The public administration ministry on Sunday issued a notification in this regard.
“All government, semi government, autonomous and private offices and organizations will remain closed on that day so that all officials and employees
can cast their votes,” the notification said.
It, however, said teachers and officials supposed to attend their duty at public examinations scheduled to be held (if any) on the day will not fall under the purview of the holiday.
