The proposed budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023 has been announced in Bonpara Municipality of Baraigram in Natore district without any additional tax. The budget meeting was held at the municipal auditorium where Municipal Mayor KM Zakir Hossain announced a budget of Tk 43.5130cr on Sunday.
Of this, revenue income is 4 crore 90 lakh 81 thousand 935 taka and expenditure is Tk 4 crore 14 lakh 8 thousand 334 and income in development sector is Tk 36 crore 60 lakh 56 thousand 216 taka and expenditure is 36 crore 59 lakh 63 thousand . The meeting was chaired by Municipal Mayor KM Zakir Hossain and was addressed by Upazila Awami League President Abdul Quddus Miaji, Principal Abdur Razzak Mollah, former BRDB Chairman Wazed Ali Sonar, Municipal Executive Officer Abdul Hai, Executive Engineer Ataur Rahman, Accounting Officer Delwar Hossain etc. The meeting was attended by all the councilors, officials and employees, well-wishers and local journalists.
During the budget meeting, Mayor KM Zakir Hossain said that in order to create a social safety net, accessible water supply, communication, sewerage system, construction of roads, drains, expansion of street lights, tree planting, mosquito eradication, education and merit development appropriate allocation has been made.
