Land Secretary Maksudur Rahman Patwary has urged the field level administrative officials to bring all the existing land services under digitalization process for welfare of the public in general.
“Public sufferings and harassment related to land mutation and other necessary activities could be addressed through digitalization of land services,” he further said while inaugurating a two-day divisional refreshers workshop on ‘E-mutation’ at Nanking Darbar Hall in Rajshahi city on Sunday as chief guest.
Commissioner office of Rajshahi division organized the workshop in association with Access to Information (a2i) programme of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The workshop will help to understand the land management system specially the whole mutation process (an important part of land ownership) to the participants. More than 100 officials engaged in providing land services in district and upazila level in all eight districts under the division are taking part in the workshop.
Chaired by Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman, the session was addressed, among others, by Director of Local Government Division Shyam Kishore Roy, Additional Divisional Commissioners Anwar Hossain and Jakir Hossain and Deputy Commissioner Hamidul Haque.
