Proma Islam has an attachment with music during her childhood. She received training in music from different Ustads (mentors) like Ustad Nawab Ali, Khitish Chandra Mollick, Ariful Islam Mithu, Syed Abdul Hadi, Ferdous Ara and Pujon Das. In 2004, she rendered song on BTV’s programme Nokkhotrer Alo. She is regularly performing in TV shows. Though she is expert in Nazrul Sangeet but she can render any song.
Proma’s debut solo video song titled Swapney Dekhechhi has released under the banner of Dhruba Music Station. Composed by Pujon Das Monika Das wrote lyrics of the song. SI Khokon has arranged its music. Pranto Selim has made its music video.
While talking about her new song Proma said, “It is my favourite song. It is a love-appealing song. I believe music-lovers will enjoy the song. I want to continue music. I have already involved with seven songs.”
