An inter-ministerial meeting of the Ministry of Religious Affairs chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and death anniversaries of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) across the country as elsewhere in the Muslim world with due religious fervor.
A spokesman of the ministry said a series of measures were taken to implement the programmes of the Eid-e-Miladunnabi, likely to be on December 24 (if the moon of Awal month is sighted).
The meeting was held in the conference room of the Ministry recently with Minister for Religious Affairs Alhaj Principal Motiur Rahman in the chair. The President and the Prime Minister (PM) will give separate messages on the occasion.
The programmes taken through the meeting include, hoisting of national flags at all government, semi-government, autonomous bodies and private buildings and armed forces’ establishments.
