Professor Dr M Delwar Hossain, Director, Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW), BUET handing over championship trophy to the players of Sher-e-Bangla Hall, which emerged champions of the Inter-Hall Badminton Competition of BUET at the University Gymnasium resently. Professor Dr Abu Siddique, Advisor Badminton, Provosts, Assistant Provosts of different residential halls, officers and employees were also present at the prize-giving ceremony. Suhrawardy Hall became runners-up in the badminton meet.

Govt provides seeds, agri-inputs to 2,000 Manikganj farmers

Our Correspondent :The government is distributing Mashkolai seeds and other agri-inputs among 2,000 poor and marginal flood-affected cultivators as incentive so that they feel encouraged to cultivate the food grain on their land.Farmers of Manikganj Sadar, Ghior, Daulatpur, Shibalaya and Harirampur are getting the incentive from the government, said Md Shahjahan Ali Biswas, deputy director of department of agricultural extension.Each of the marginal flood affected cultivator is getting 5 kilograms of Mashkolai seed, 10 kgs of DAP and 5 kgs...
