Prof Mofizur Rahman new VC of UIU

Professor Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of United International University (UIU) for four years.
Earlier, he discharged his duties as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the UIU for three consecutive terms.
Professor Rahman was a former Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and served BUET as a faculty in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) for 15 years. He also served as the Head of the Department of CSE, BUET in 2000-2001.
He served as a Joint Coordinator of European Union funded eLINK (5.3 Million Euro), cLINK (2.9 Million Euro) and FUISION (3.2 Million Euro) project for awarding Undergraduate, Masters and PhD scholarships to students of various universities located in Asia to study at various Universities in Europe.
A number of 119 Research Articles have been published in National and International Journals.
Professor Rahman obtained his PhD and MSc in Computer Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996 and BUET in 1992 respectively. He obtained his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET in 1989.
