Professor Fahima Khatun, former Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), has been made the Treasurer of the newly-established University of Brahmanbaria.
Prof Fahima has been appointed for four years by President and Chancellor of the university Abdul Hamid under the Article 33(1) of the Private University Act-2010.
A gazette notification was also issued on Wednesday in this regard, said a press release.
On March 4, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave the approval to establish the university named ‘University of Brahmanbaria’ aimed at providing higher education to common people.
