Prof Ali Naqi SUB’s new VC

Prof Mohammad Ali Naqi, the renowned professor and architect of the country, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB). He has been appointed as the VC for the next four years by the Chancellor of the University, President of the country, Advocate Abdul Hamid Chowdhury.
Prof Mohammad Ali Naqi passed his SSC and HSC with first Division in 1980 and 1982 subsequently. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture from BUET in 1989 with first class and also completed his M. Arch. from the same university in 2004.
He started his career as a lecturer at Khulna University in 1991 and subsequently promoted as an Asst. Professor in 1994 and Associate Professor in 2001. He also became the Head of the Discipline of Architecture at Khulna University during his tenure there. In 2006 he joined Stamford University Bangladesh as Professor and Chair of the Department of Architecture.
He is well known for a number of architectural designs of some great edifices of the country. He has also many publications in reputed journals. He, however, has taken over his charge from the former VC, Prof Dr Feroze Ahmed.
