Professor Begum Aktar Kamal, Chairperson of Dhaka University Bangla Department, on Monday took the charge of Acting Dean of Arts Faculty at the university.
The post fell vacant as the previous dean Professor Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman took office of pro-vice chancellor on June 23 last. As per the Dhaka University Order, 1973, Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique gave Prof Kamal the charge of acting dean for not more than 90 days from June 23 or until new elected dean will join office.
