A Dhaka court on Tuesday adjourned the proceedings of the case filed in connection with the abduction of child Parag Mondol.
Judge Md Sadequl Islam Talukder of Dhaka’s First Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal passed the order after hearing.
On behalf of accused Mamun, his lawyer Syed Mahmudul Ahsan submitted a petition seeking
adjournment of the proceedings in the case as hearing of a criminal appeal in the case is lying pending with the High Court. On the otherhand, three prosecution witnesses appeared at the court for recording their depositions on Tuesday.
Parag was abducted on November 13 of last year, while he was going to school from their residence Shubhadda in Keraniganj. After three days, Parag was recovered from Atibazar area in Keranigaj upazila of Dhaka district. He was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
