Investigations against 11 men of Metropolitan Detective Police have completed in connection with the allegations of taking away mobile phones and money from a Kafrul club in the capital.
The investigation report was submitted to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Thursday.
On April 18, an operation was carried out at New Wave Club in Kafrul’s Ibrahimpur Poolpar area. At that time, the question of the validity of the operation was raised by the local people. DB policemen were accused of snatching huge amount of money and mobile sets from the club.
A three-member committee was formed to probe the allegation.
On Friday morning, Joint Commissioner of the DB Police, Krishnapada Roy said, “The report has been submitted after the investigation. But it is not possible to say what is in the report.”
