The prize-giving ceremony of the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Saturday.
Senior Vice-President of BFF and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayem Shohag, SEO of Premier Bank Limited Mahfuzul Islam, Deputy-Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee of BFF Abdur Rahim were present at the ceremony.
Fakirerpool Youngmens Club emerged as the champions of the Marcel Championship League securing 27 points from 14 matches, while Saif Sporting Club Limited became runners-up collecting 26 points from 14 matches. Both teams promoted to the Bangladesh Premier League.
The BFF officials and the official of Walton Group handed over the championship trophy and runners-up trophy to the representatives of the champions team and runners-up team respectively.
Besides, Walton Group awarded a Walton 32 inches LED Television to the highest scorer of Bangladesh Championship League and gave away a Walton 32 inches LED Television to the Player of the League.
Arifur Rahman of Victoria Sporting Club is the highest scorer of the League with six goals, while Matin Mia of Saif Sporting Club Limited is the Player of the League.
Besides, FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn handed over a Walton 32 inches LED Television to Abdus Salam Murshedy for staged the Marcel Bangladesh Championship League successfully.
