Two new songs of National Film Award winning singer Dr Priyanka Gope have been released on YouTube. These two songs were released on the occasion of this year’s Durga Puja, the singer said.
The song titled Mayamoy is a solo track rendered by Priyanka, which was written by Tofayel Hossain Tapan.
Muntasir Tushar has composed the tune and music arrangement of the song. Besides, the other song is a duet track, which was written by JK Dutt. Samarjit Roy composed tune of the song. He has also arranged its music and also gave direction of the song.
While talking about releasing her two new songs Priyanka said, “These two songs are different from each other. In every new song, I discover myself in a new manner and always try to sing with utmost dedication. Same thing happened to these two songs. But the song Mayamoy is a little different than the duet song. The lyric and tune of this solo track touch my own heart every so often. I am receiving positive response for both the songs. I should say that I always try to sing the songs keeping the preference of my fans and audience in my mind,” she added.
It is noted that Priyanka Gope is also a faculty at the Department of Music of University of Dhaka University. She earned her PhD degree on the classical music in July of this year.
