Princess Zahra to visit Aga Khan School today

Princess Zahra Aga Khan, the eldest child of Aga Khan, will visit Aga Khan School here on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee on Thursday.She is scheduled to arrive here at 11pm on Wednesday and will leave Dhaka Thursday late night after attending the Aga Khan School’s 25th anniversary where she will address the students and teachers, said an official.
Princess Zahra is the head of the Social Welfare Department (SWD) of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
She has a policy and management responsibility for the health, education and planning and building Services Companies. Zahra is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Aga Khan University.
The Aga Khan School in Dhaka, an institution of the Aga Khan Education Services- one of the nine agencies of the AKDN – is part of an international network of 240 schools in South Asia, Central Asia and East Africa. It was established in 1988 and had an initial enrolment of 25 students and seven teachers.
