Prime Bank South Zone defeated Islami Bank East Zone by 6 wickets on the third day of a four-day match of Bangladesh Cricket League at the BKSP ground-4 in Savar on Monday.
On the third day, Islami Bank East Zone (135 runs in first innings) resumed the 2nd innings with overnight 138 and scored 341 for all in 102.3 overs.
Night watch batsman Shadman Islam (56) scored 98 runs off 266 balls with 13 fours and a six.
In the 2nd wicket stand, opener Shadman Islam pairing with one down Liton Kumar contributed 141 runs before Liton was caught by Imrul Kayes off a Shuvagata Hom del-ivery, leaving the team total 183 for 2 in 57.4 overs.
Night watch Liton Kumar (47) added 70 runs from 133 balls with eight fours and two sixes while number four batsman Mominul Haque scored 52 runs off 64 balls with nine fours.
Experienced spinner Abdur Razzak bowled superbly to claim 5 wickets for 95 runs in the 2nd innings and 4 for 34 runs in the first innings to be adjudged man of the match.
Shuvagata Hom captured 3 wickets for 65 runs and Shohag Gazi (2 for 93 in the 2nd innings) took 1 wicket for 52 runs on third day.
In reply, Prime Bank SZ opened the second innings (376 runs in first innings) and easily reached the target scoring 103 for 4 in 19 overs.
Anamul Haque scored team highest 63 runs off 51 balls with eight fours and two sixes while Soumya Sarker made 10 runs.
Mosaddek Hossain claimed 4 wickets for 33 runs in 9 overs.

Walton Central Zone resumed the first innings with overnight 116 runs and scored 278 runs for all in 82 overs.
Mahmudullah made an unbeaten century scoring 105 runs off 156 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes.
In the 6th wicket stand, Mahmudullah pairing with Nurul Hasan (29) contributed 64 runs before Nurul was caught by Forhad Hossain off Taijul Islam bowling at 234 for 6 in 72.5 overs.
Night watch batsman Shamsur Rahman (35) added 44 runs.
Taijul Islam (6 for 88 runs in first innings) claimed 4 wickets for 63 runs while Tanvir Haider took 2 wickets for 52 runs.
In reply, BCB NZ were dismissed cheaply for 87 runs in 27.1 overs in the second innings.
Forhad Reza scored the team highest 49 runs off 42 balls with three fours and five sixes.
