The prime accused, Sohel Rana alias Yousuf Munshi (42) in Sonali Bank Limited, Kishoreganj Main Branch sensational theft case was sentenced to five years jail and fined taka five thousand in default, he has to serve five months more simple imprisonment.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Hamidul Islam passed the order on Wednesday.
It may be mentioned here that, Sohel Rana was charged with the theft case of taka 16 crore 40 lakh at January 16, 2014.
Advocate Ramendra Chandra Talukder APP stood for the state and Advocate A.B.M Lutfur Rashid Rana appointed for the Sonali Bank.
