The Upazila Agriculture Office also gave suggestions.
Roof gardens in different parts of the upazila are becoming popular after seeing her initiative. Khorseda Khanam (Ruby) said, ‘I like to plant trees since childhood. I always had a desire to have a roof garden. I forget all the fatigue when I see the fruits and flowers blooming in my garden. Now my family and I eat the vegetables and fruits from my own produce. My husband encourages me almost all the time. My two daughters help too.
Adamdighi Upazila Agriculture Officer Mithu Chandra Adhikari said, “Both husband and wife are creative people. I have heard many people praising their roof garden. I hope others will be encouraged to see their roof gardens.” The Upazila Agriculture Office has always been encouraging and cooperating in the expansion of the roof garden.
