Price hike of edible oil protested in Kishoreganj

The Left Democratic Alliance in Kishoreganj has severely criticised the price hike of edible oil and said the government has shown sheer irresponsible by the hiking the oil price by Tk 38 per liter.
Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Kishoreganj District Committee formed a human chain in front of Rongmahal Cinema Hall in the Town on Saturday.
CPB, Kishoreganj President Comrade Abdur Rahman on Saturday afternoon said that a strong syndicate of businessmen created artificial of crises ahead of Eid.
The edible oil crises was dear to be seen in the shops and the crises intensified after Eid.
Amid such a crisis, the Commerce Ministry hiked the oil price by tk. 38 per liter considering the profit of treaders ignoring the interest of consumers, it said adding the move will intensity the suffering the people.
 Under such circumstances, the CPB, Kishoreganj leaders urged the government to keep the prices of essential commodities stable even if subsidy has to be given.
During the two -year of Covid patients, the people have lost jobs and their income has decreased and now they are in acute financial crisis.
It was addressed among others by Former district president comrade Syed Nazrul Islam, District Secretary Comrade Advocate Enamul Haque and Trade Union district president Comrade Abdus Satter.
In Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASOD) was brought out a protest rally in the town on Saturday.
BASOD, Kishoreganj District Coordinator Comrade Advocate Shafiqul Islam said, Peoples lives and livelihoods have been difficult in the wake of high price of daily essentials including edible oil.
