President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday reached London for medical checkup.
“A VVIP flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the President arrived at Heathrow International Airport in the British Capital at 6:55 pm (London time),” President’s Deputy Press Secretary M Abul Kalam Azad told BSS here.
President Hamid was received by Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Mohammad Nazmul Quaunine at the airport.
Earlier, the President along with his spouse Rashida Khanam and Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin left here for London by a flight of Emirates at 7:30 pm on Monday.
The President will receive eye treatment at Moorfields Eye Hospital and undergo medical checkup at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London.
He is expected to fly for Dhaka on May 3 and reach Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at 5:30 pm on May 4.
