President Abdul Hamid has urged the Bangladesh Community Ophthalmological Society (BCOS) to take steps to spread the eye-treatment facilities across the country.
He made this call when a seven-member delegation of BCOS, led by Syed Modasser Ali, made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban here on Monday, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
The President suggested them conducting eye-camp at different places in the country so that the poor and distressed people can get eye treatment easily.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised President Hamid of the activities of BCOS and invited him to attend BCOS’s international conference to be held in the next month as the chief guest.
Secretaries concerned to the President were present.
