President asks BDRCS to ensure quality humanitarian services

President Abdul Hamid on Thursday asked all concerned of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) to ensure quality humanitarian services at different times including the natural disasters.
“Bangladesh Red Crescent Society plays a very significant role in humanitarian services . . . I hope that the new committee would gear up its activities in the days coming ahead with more effectively,” he told the new office-bearers of the BDRCS who called on the President at Bangabhaban.
President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after a 14-member delegation of the BDRCS called on the President.
Terming Red Crescent Society as a humanitarian and prestigious organization, President Hamid hoped the overall activities would be more vibrant and people-oriented under the leadership of the new committee.
Abdul Hamid, also the BDRCS President, hoped that the BDRCS will also provide necessary assistances in the overall development of the country as well.
The BDRCS delegation, led by its Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar, apprised the President of the overall activities of the BDRCS.
The delegation also informed the President about the different initiatives taken by the BDRCS and sought his cooperation.
The President also assured them of extending his all-out cooperation.
Vice-President of BDRCS Dr Mohammad Habibe Millat, MP, Treasurer Advocate Tohidur Rahman, member of the managing board Talukder Abdul Khaleque, MP, and member AKMA Awal, MP, among others, were present.
