The Cute Premier Handball League starts today at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansoor Ali National Handball Stadium.
Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club will take on Bhratrito Sangha at 10.30 am while Narinda Progoti Boys Club will face Prime Sporting Club at 3.00 pm and Menjis Kriara Chakra will meet Arambagh Krira Sangha at 5.00 pm in the matches of the opening day.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Olympic Association and President of Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation Sheikh Bashir Ahmed will inaugurate the meet as the chief guest while Treasurer of Bangladesh Olympic Association and Director of Mousumi Industries Limited Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal will be with him as the special guest.
President of Bangladesh Handball Federation AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul will preside over the opening ceremony.
Bangladesh Handball Federation will arrange the ten-day long handball competition with the financial assistance of Mousumi Industries Limited.
A total of nine teams will take part in the single league basis competition. The participating teams are: Menjis Krira Chakra, Narinda Progoti Boys Club, Surjodoy Krira Chakra, Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club, Old Ideals, Bhratrito Sangha, Victoria Sporting Club, Prime Sporting Club and Arambagh Krira Sangha. Highest point achiever team of the league will be the champions of the handball meet.
