Nazia Andaleeb Preema, the prolific visual artist of Bangladesh recently participated first of its kind ‘International Action Painting Symposium’ in Chalkida, Greece organized by UNESCO.
To take critical action to prevail humanity and peace in today’s world was the purpose of this symposium. During the symposiuon from June 19 to 24, her ‘Chaos & Scream’ live art performance at Chalkida beach grabbed enormous attention of the audience and art lovers. Later as an honor for the unique live art she received honorable mention medal from the host organization.
The artist Preema is preparing to start her travel performance (train project) week from July 9 to 16. She will be representing Bangladesh in Euro train, in Budapest, Prague, Krakow including other European countries.
Along with other important performance artists from the globe in week long performance Preema will create a context connecting and engaging the environment with herself by occupying different spaces (museum, gardens, institutes) in above cities. Her performance will be telecast live through social network.
Nazia Andaleeb Preema, most dynamic, prolific and prominent visual artist of Bangladesh received her Master’s in Drawing and Painting from the University of Dhaka in 2000. Preema has been dealing with the issues of women’s representation in a poetic manner creating metaphorical context on her canvases (Traditional and Digital).
