Pranesh Pondit is considered as a popular candidate for Mymensingh-3 (Gouripur) constituency and he is likely to get the nomination from Bangladesh Tarikat Federation (BTF), a partner of the Awami League-led 14-party ruling alliance .
Local sources said, he has submitted his nomination form as an aspirant of Bangladesh Tarikat Federation to contest the forthcoming general election scheduled to be held on December 30.
Pranesh Pondit is a popular man, a social worker, and a business man. He has dedicated his life towards social activities. Pranesh Pondit told The New Nation “I belong to the ideology of Syed Nazibul Bashar Maizvandary, chairman of the party,” Tarikat Federation is an ally of the ruling Awami League in the 14-party Alliance. His party wants to contest the 11th parliamentary elections using Awami League’s electoral symbol ‘Boat’. He will hope to win the seat if he gets the party ticket to contest the election with the symbol of boat as an Awami League ally .
