PRAN gets $5.25m orders at Paris Food Fair

Bangladesh’s food processor PRAN has bagged export orders worth around $ 5.25 million at Sial Food Fair in France.
About 400 importers from 85 countries visited PRAN’s stalls at the five-day fair, one of the largest food fairs in the world, which began on October 21, said a press release.
This year, about 7,000 exhibitors from 109 countries participated in the fair held at Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in Paris of France. PRAN Group participated in the fair for the ninth time.
Chief Operating Officer at PRAN Export Limited M Mizanur Rahman said this year the group displayed its over 500 products, including 20 new products, in two stalls. Candy, chocolate, lollipop, juice, noodles and biscuit items were the center of attraction among the buyers, he added.
Rahman said PRAN products are now being exported to 141 countries. Besides, Venezuela, Kosovo, Serbia, Costa Rica and Czech Republic are newly added in the list as new import destinations of PRAN as they booked orders in the fair.
Marketing Director of PRAN-RFL Group Kamruzzaman Kamal said the main purpose of participating in the exhibition is to expand export market.
Sial Fair is one of the largest food fairs in the world and traders and buyers from every corner of the globe participate in the fair, he added.
