Practicing cultural activities on limited scale emphasized

State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid said that the practice of culture should be started on a limited scale in compliance with hygienic rules.
“The stagnation was prevailing in the cultural arena across the country due to coronavirus, the practice of culture using virtual platforms has overcome that stagnation to some extent. Now we have to start it again on a limited scale maintaining health guidelines,” he said.
He said this at the Moulvibazar district level award distribution of the online-based cultural competition at Moulvibazar Circuit House on Friday on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day-2020.
He urged all concerned, including cultural activists, to start practicing cultural activities across the country on a limited range abiding by proper health rules.
He also exchanged views with local cultural activists there.
Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan presided over the function and Moulvibazar-3 lawmaker and District Awami League President Nesar Ahmed addressed it as a special guest.
General Secretary of Moulvibazar District Shilpakala Academy M Emdadul Haque gave the welcome speech on the occasion. District Cultural Officer Jyoti Sinha conducted it.
Earlier, the state minister inspected the construction work of Moulvibazar District Shilpakala Academy and the progress of construction of Manipuri Lalitkala Academy Training Center, Administrative Building, Guest House and Dormitory Building at Kamalganj upazila of the district.
