The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has sought Tk 25012.14 crore budgetary allocations for the next fiscal year.
The ministry has made final it budget requirement of which Tk 3553.31 crore for energy Division and Tk 21,458.83 crore for Power Division.
The ministry has been implementing 92 projects
of which 10 energy Division and rest of the projects are under Power Division, sources said.
For the budget the Power Division expected to get Tk 9405. 97 from GOB fund, for technical assistance Tk 7.59 crore, approved project allocation Tk100 crore, project assistance Tk 11903.2 crore, Export Credit Agency (ECA) Tk 2600 crore.
The Ministry has estimated the spent of Tk 922.99 crore from GOB fund, PA Tk 550 crore, approved project Tk 100 crore, own fund Tk 1274.98 crore, gas development fund from Tk 704.67 crore
The government allocated around Tk 15,000 crore for the power and the energy sectors to implement as many as 88 projects in the last Fiscal Year.
