BSS, Dhaka :
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim yesterday called upon the nurses to serve patients as their family members for upholding professional commitment.
“You (nurses) will take care of patients in the hospitals considering them as your parents, brother or sister. You should devote in the profession with utmost sincerity,” he told a rally of newly appointed nurses at different hospitals at Krishibid Institution here. The minister said posting of newly recruited 10,000 nurses in the month of victory is a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“The government has been working relentlessly to reach the health services to
the doorsteps of people. So, you (nurses) must serve the patients with deep patriotism and devotion,” he added. Describing serving people as the prime duty of nurses, Nasim said they (nurses) should not show any negligence as the salary and allowances they get comes from the common people. The minister hoped Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina will come to power again winning the next general election in 2019.
“If Sheikh Hasina gets the chance again to govern the country, Bangladesh will stand before the world as a role model in the field of healthcare.
