UNB, Chittagong :
A policeman was killed and four others injured in a road crash in Fouzdarhat area of the city early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Kabir Hossain, a police sergeant and in-charge of Fouzdarhat police camp.
The accident took place as covered van hit a police van carrying a patrol team around 4:30am, leaving five injured, said traffic inspector Faruk Ahmed.
Later, the injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared Kabir dead.
Officials at CMCH police camp confirmed the incident.
