The Bangladesh Government has been buying two helicopters from Russia to increase the capacity of the police.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed to buy two helicopters from Russia to ensure public safety on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Police Assistant Inspector General (AIG-media) Sohel Rana confirmed the matter in a press released.
Regarding this process, the police will elable to play an important role conducting operations and increasing surveillance in remote and inaccessible areas, including the fight against militancy and terrorism in the country, he said.
