Police have started patrol on bicycle across the Mymensingh city. It aims to bringing the city dwellers under the law to curb crime, control crime and ensure safe movement, safe destination and overnight stay. Mymensingh Range DIG Barrister Harun Aur Rashid inaugurated the bicycle patrol on Thursday (June 3) at the initiative of Mymensingh District Police. Meanwhile, DIG Barrister Harun Aur Rashid said that although the police patrol system for bicycles across the city has been re-introduced, it is an old system. During the British rule, the police used to patrol the area on bicycles. Many developed countries around the world still have this program.
