Nat'l Men's Baseball: Police become champions

Bangladesh Police became champions in the Walton 7th Men’s Baseball Championship defeating Bangladesh Ansar by 19-4 points in the final at the Paltan Ground, which is adjacent to the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
After the final match, Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton was present at the time.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups took part in the competition. The first phase of the tournament was held on knock-out basis. One team from each group got tickets of the final.
The participating teams were: Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, Dhaka District team, SKSP of Sirajganj, Community Sports Club, Sand Angel Baseball Club, DCC Baseball Club and SSC.
Bangladesh Police clinched the championship title for the consecutive fourth times.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Ansar became runners-up for third time.
During the coronavirus outbreak, Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association arranged two baseball tournaments.
