Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that police will be given directive to bring the killers of BNP’s
nomination aspirant Abu Bakar to justice, his body was recovered from the Burigangya river on Thursday.
“Police will be given the directive to identify the killers and initiate necessary legal steps to arrest them,” KM Nurul Huda told journalists after inauguration of Training for Trainers (TOT) programme at the EC Bhaban on Friday.
CEC Nurul Huda, while replying to journalists’ questions, said that police would carry out investigation into the killing of Abu Bakr.
BNP had submitted a list of missing party members to the Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday that includes five names of parliamentary nomination seekers along with Abu Bakr from Jashore.
