Asstt.Sub Inspector of Chittagong District DB Police Anowar Hossain was sent to jail custody for alleged Yaba trafficking in the city .
Sources said ASI Anowar was arrested on Tuesday from Maizertek area under Karnaphuli thana along with huge number of yaba tablets City DB police arrested him and recovered 1000 pcs of yaba from his possession.
Officer- In-charge of Karnaphuli than Syedul Mostafa told that after arrest of the said ASI , a case has been filed with the Karnaphuli thana as filed by the city DB official Mominul Hasan as plaintiff .After producing in court , court ordered him to send to jail custody , court sources said. Anowar hails from Brahmanbaria district . Police sources said ASI Anowar was arrested alongwith a private car while entering in city at south entry point of Shah Amanat bridge.
