Bangladesh Police and Bangladesh Ansar clinched the men’s and women’s division title of the 2nd National Throwball competition eliminating their respective rivals in the finals held on Monday
at Paltan ground in the city.
In the day’s men’s division final, Bangladesh Police beat Khulna district by 2-0 sets while in the women’s division final Bangladesh Ansar defeated Satkhira district also by 2-0 sets.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, head of games and sports welfare division of Walton, was present as the chief guest and handed over the prizes among the winners.
A total of 17 teams — ten of men’s and seven of women’s — are took part in the three-day meet, organised by Bangladesh Throwball Association.
