Pogose School, a renowned ancient educational institute of the old part of Dhaka, will be integrated with Jagannath University (JnU) as its affiliated institute.
The decision came from an emergency meeting held at the VC’s conference room of the university between the authority of JnU and the management committee of the school on Thursday noon.
According to university press release, the school will serve as a laboratory for educational experimentation under the administrative control of the Institute of Educational and Research (IER) of the university. Later, the school is named after ‘Pogose Laboratory School and College, Jagannath University’.
JnU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mizanur Rahaman presided over the meeting.
JnU Treasurer Professor Selim Bhuiyan, Register Eng Md Ohidujjaman, President of the management committee of Pogose School Fazlur Rahman Parbot were present, among others, in the meeting.
