Staff Reporter :The 63rd birthday of journalist and poet Ahsan Hamid will be observed today (Friday) in his own residence at House No 107, Journalists Residential Area, Mirpur in the city.Poet Hamid was born in 1955 in the district of Shariatpur and entered the world of the journalism in 1972 through the Dainik Sangbad.He wrote Rakto Rin khelapy, Utkanthito Eka, Dilam Tomai Nishabde Shishirs, Shato Prem Padya and Sharat Hemanter Jugal Kabita.Poet Ahsan, is the father of chemical Engineers Dr Laboni Ahsan Mou and pharmacist Rishad Ahsan, has been working as a shift-in-charge in the Naya Diganta.Since 1973 Poet Hamid is listed actor of Bangladesh betar and he has been writing several manuscript for the betar program. Several times, he was elected publicity secretary of Dhaka Union of Journaists (DUJ).
