Poet Abul Hossain Sarker passes away

City Desk :Abul Hossain Sarker, a noted poet and writer, died of a heart attack at a Makkah hospital in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday night at the age of 65.He is survived by his two daughters, a large numbers of relatives, friends and students to mourn his death.Abul Hossain Sarker went to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj on September 22 where he suddenly fell sick and admitted to a hospital in Makkah. He died there on Wednesday and was laid to rest at the holy city of Makkah on Thursday.He was also a retired principal of Thakurgaon Government College. Abul Hossain Sarker was the editor of ” Dainik Bangladesh” published from Islampur of India during the Liberation War in 1971. Abul Hossain was also the author of many books including ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman” and the “War of Liberation”.Local lawmaker Ramesh Chandra Sen and acting secretary general of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir condoled the death of Abul Hossain Sarker.
