Demonstrating the high standards of South Korean football Pocheon FC, the fourth tier club of Korean League beat Alga Bishkek by 2-0 goals in the opening match of the second edition Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup Football held on Saturday at MA Aziz Stadium here.
The inaugural match of the tournament saw a fine display of total football from the Koreans who were in control with quick attacks down the flanks while repelling their Kyrgyz opponents with a solid defence line, source BFF online.
Pocheon, took the lead with a long-range effort of Jang Young IK in the 14th minute. Later man-of-the-match JI Kyeong Deuk struck the second in the 20th minute with a beautiful chip off a well placed pass.
In the second half Pocheon broke through the Kyrgyzstan Premier League champion Alga Bishkek’s defence a few times but could not convert.
The five-time Kyrgyz champions appeared to be in complete disarray faced with the organised and concerted Korean attacks.
