UNB, Pabna :
Interns at Pabna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) continued their indefinite strike for the third consecutive day on Wednesday protesting the attack on their two fellows by attendants of a patient who died at the hospital.
Their strike began on Monday causing immense suffering to the patients.
The authorities referred many patients to other hospitals for unavailability of doctors, sources at the hospital said.
Meanwhile, a group of interns are forming human chain on the hospital premises for the last three days to press home their demands, including exemplary punishment for the attackers and security of the doctors.
They also threatened to announce a tougher programme if their demands are not met within three days.
