Several new EPZs including Naopara and Gaibandha in Jessore are being set up for the development of the country and the people. Only five industries have re-invested in Ishwardi EPZ. The country is making progress. The Prime Minister is working relentlessly on these issues.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Md. Nazrul Islam said this while addressing as the chief guest at the factory opening ceremony of a cigarette company called Global Tobacco Industry at Ishwardi EPZ on Thursday afternoon. Global Tobacco Industry Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Abu Naeem Md. Shahidullah presided over the function. At that time domestic and foreign investors were present in Ishwardi EPZ.
Recalling Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the greatest Bengali nation of all time and those who sacrificed their lives for independence, the chief guest said, “Today is a special day for us.” Today, an industry was inaugurated in Ishwardi EPZ by a Bangladeshi industrialist. Surely you know how big the role of this EPZ is in the development of this northern town and the area as a whole. Acquired in return for self-sacrifice, Bangladesh has become independent. That is why the creation of our Ishwardi EPZ and the fact that we have been able to contribute to the advancement of all organizations in Bangladesh from here today is a great achievement for us.
He further said that slowly this Ishwardi EPZ is now moving forward through a working environment. Here this year five industries made new investments.
In the coming days, these industries will move forward with a full role. The Global Tobacco Industry will continue to do business with this EPZ with a reputation. We want them to cooperate in their progress at all times.
We want to play a role in the progress of this organization.
The government has already decided to set up an internal container yard at Pakshi where all the exportable activities produced from this EPZ can be carried out. Earlier, he cut the ribbon and inaugurated the Global Tobacco Industry. On the other hand, in the morning, Major General Md. Nazrul Islam Ishwardi, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, inaugurated the Medical Center to ensure the health and medical care of all those working in different industries of EPZ.
At the same time, he said, all the activities of a person’s primary health care have been arranged for the health check-up of those working in the business industry, including ultrasonography and other medical equipment. The medical center will work for the primary health check-up.
May we take everyone’s self to a better level. We are working for that. Investors have personally collaborated behind the medical center to fund their self-sufficiency. He said that with the blessings of the people receiving the service, this institution will move forward and the progress of this country will be free.
