Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will join an interactive event, ‘Let’s Talk’, with youths at her official residence Ganabhaban on November 16.
Some 150 youths, including entrepreneurs, professionals, service holders, students, sports and cultural activists, selected from across the country will take part in the event titled “Let’s Talk with Sheikh Hasina” from 3pm to 5pm on the day, said a press release.
The premier will share various initiatives and plans taken by her government to make the country a ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
For the first time in the history of Bangladesh, a prime minister will join such an event with the youth.
Awami League’s research wing Centre for Research and Information (CRI) will organize the event. Several television channels will broadcast it live.
CRI’s Senior Analyst and Coordinator Barrister Shah Ali Farhad said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the initiative as she always tries to listen to youths and gives priority to their views.
The Prime Minister will take questions from the participants and reply to their queries, he added.
CRI has been organizing the ‘Let’s Talk’ on a regular basis to bring opportunities for youths to exchange views with policymakers.
The event has acted as a platform for the new generation to share their ideas and problems with the policymakers, he said.
He said Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy attended several episodes of Let’s Talk arranged by CRI.
