PM to inaugurate ‘Dhruvatara’ today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the brand new Dash 8-400 “Dhruvatara”, an aircraft with the latest flying technology which has been added to the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines recently.
The inaugural ceremony will take place at 11am on today (Sunday) at VVIP terminal of Shahjalal International Airport through a video conference, said a press release.
Sheikh Hasina named the aircraft “Dhrubatara”, which is the first of the three Dash 8-400 aircrafts purchased on deal between the governments of Bangladesh and Canada.
Canadian aircraft manufacturing company De Havilland built the environment friendly 74-seat Dash 8-400, which has state-of-the-art facilities.
With the addition of the new aircraft, the total number of existing aircrafts in Biman Bangladesh Airlines increases to 19.
