Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the forthcoming Asia-Africa Summit to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 22-24.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam will brief media about the summit on Monday, said an official here.
Sheikh Hasina will lead the Bangladesh delegation to the summit. Country leaders participating in the Asia Africa Conference 60th Anniversary Commemoration (AACC) events already started reaching Jakarta on Sunday.
Some 34 heads of state and government, as well as representatives from 77 countries have confirmed their attendance at the conference.
Among the heads of state and government who are confirmed to attend it include those of Brunei Darussalam, China, Iran, Jordan, Madagascar, Malawi and Swaziland, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Other leaders confirming their presence are from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Egypt, Gabon, Malaysia, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Singapore, South Africa, Sudan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
