Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of Professor Nazma Rahman, ex-relief and social welfare secretary of Bangladesh Awami League.
In a condolence message, the premier said the nation would recall with profound respect the courageous role of Nazma Rahman in restoration of democracy after 1975.
“Bangladesh Awami League has lost a dedicated worker in her death,” she added.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
