Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed deep shock at the death of Najibul Haque Sardar, Vice-President of Dhaka South City Awami League and a valiant freedom fighter.
In a condolence message, the premier recalled Sardar’s role in reorganising Awami League during the post-75 period. “The party has lost a dedicated soldier of Bangabandhu in his death,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
